How to greet the Customers........this particular day I was in an especially chipper mood, machines working & the new corduroy tunic was taking shape & I was going to use pom poms soooo a little wee bit excited I was. I adore what I'm doing, being creative - working with fabrics, no one in the immediate family has cancer and when the suns out with the ocean across the road well I'm just 'high'. So being high and being Aquarian I love to change the template mix things up and try to greet everyone with their own personal ‘Hey how are you doing?’ like nothing is rehearsed it just pops out..........this particular morning I was playing down by the Chaise Lounge, hand sewing together a pom pom brooch for the corduroy tunic and I get up as I needed more thread...........this lady walks in, so I pretty much skip up past her saying ‘hey there, all good? ....taken your medication??’ to which she said ‘I beg your pardon’ I stop short, smiling (like pleading for her to get on my planet of joy) I say ‘ is it all good ? the medication seems to be working, like whatever we've taken the day is turning out to be great' ............oh deary me .....our drums were not playing the same song, a not seen before facial expression was lodged on her face, without saying another word she about turned & walked out. Soooo she was either A) worried about staying in the same room with me............... OR B) she actually HAD forgotten her medication and was heading back to take it.... we will never know........... I have found sticking with the repetitive tried and tested ‘hows your day going?’.........keeps them in the shop just that wee bit longer............ anyone else got some greetings that didn't quite make the Top 10? And how did they go down ?
